A documentary by Rob Christopher narrated by Willem Dafoe, Matt Dillon and Lili Taylor, Roy’s World: Barry Gifford’s Chicago brilliantly brings to life Gifford’s autobiographical collection of stories, capturing a vanished 1950s Chicago through a jazzy, impressionistic combination of beguiling archive footage, animation, and spoken word. Gaining traction in the Chicago festival scene, I created a website to reflect Rob’s beautifully crafted film, evoking the same mood and tone of the documentary, utilizing archival photography from the time period.
